THIS SONG IS SUPER CUTEEE!!! It’s about how this two characters spends their day from morning until… probably school’s end? Anyway, the lyric describes their situation and conversation, about how mismatched they are… Like how Kaname cannot manage his time wisely (or simply not a morning person) and Seiji is the opposite of him; about how Kaname is a serious person (or at least try to be), and Seiji is just plain silly… or carefree? (he wants to observe ants for fun! lol). However, no matter how mismatched they are, they still make their day enjoyable. And that’s a good thing.
I don’t know if that description really fit the characters since I am not following Smiley*2G before; I’ve recently watched some of Smiley*2G video on YouTube (the comic one), and found that ‘Kaname is a serious person’ is hard to believe… especially with his ‘bloomers’ obssession (lol), so… I’ll just explore more of Smiley*2G I guess :p
Have a Nico Nico Douga account and want to favourite the song over there? See here: 【vipTenchou&Mucchi】Mismatched【St. Smiley Gakuen】 However, the video is no longer playable. That was sad since I haven’t seen it ;-; Too bad for me no one upload it in YouTube either… Well, I have the songs, so.. all is well haha.

(*) the character ‘i (い)’ here is sung as ‘yu’ by the singer.
(**) I am confused as hell when I romanised this character: [地上] in which if it were to be romanised would be ‘chijou (ちじょう)’. Why? Because when I listened to the song, all I could hear in this part is ‘hoshi (ほし)’. Then after I learnt the meaning of those kanji which is ‘above earth / surface’, it is occurred to me that maybe it’s supposed to be read as ‘hoshi’ after all, because ‘hoshi’ means ‘stars’.
Notes: So here’s list of my mistakes in romanising it~ […] kanji ~ [–>] my attempt ~ [=] the correct romanization ~ (…) my own comment
- [低血圧で] = Teiketsuwasu de = teiketsuatsu de (tick me off, but finally get it right, so I’m happy)
- [鬼ごっこ] = oigokko = onigokko. (I can’t hear the ‘n’!)
- [紡い] = tsumurii = tsumui
