EDIT (2016.04.06): I wrote the title of the song wrong. It’s not ‘factory’ but ‘public’. I’m so sorry for the mistake (so ashamed!!) To even just notice it after almost two months, I’m really sorry. I’ll update the url later today (done).

Another ironic song from Mrs. GREEN APPLE. It seems to me that their lyric will always be about the irony of life. Maybe that’s also one of the reason why I keep listening to them… This song is trying to tell us that the society has become more corrupted, here and there… but will someone notice it? When will it be?

There’s this line: ‘Hito wa dare ka no tame ni hikari to naru (For whose sake people become light?)’ ‘Hito wa nani ka no tame ni yami ni mo naru? (For what sake people become dark?)’ Arrghhh I cannot translate them. But if I found someone post the english translation of any of the songs I’ve posted here, I will definitely give you the link. For now, let’s just content ourselves with the romanisation of the lyric… just so we can sing it correctly too 🙂

Disclaimer: I am not Oomori Motoki or member of Mrs. GREEN APPLE. I do not own this song.

Japanese lyric

Romaji

“Hito wa junpaku ni kagayaku ikimono da”
Sore wa dou ka na? Hora, mata achi kochi de.
Isakai ga yamanu kawaranai yo no naka da
“Hito ga tsukuri ageta” hinikuna monda
Boku-tachi no rinri tte mon wa
Konna ni mo yogorete shimatta no kai?
Dare ka ga kidzuite kuretara ii na?
Itsu ka, itsu ka, itsu no hi ni ka?
Shiranu* ma ni dare ka wo kizutsukete?
Hito wa dare ka no tame ni hikari to naru?
Kono marui chikyuu ni mura ga tte
Hito wa nani ka no tame ni yami ni mo naru?
“Hito wa yasashisa wo hagukumu ikimono da”
“Ureshisa-kanashisa” zenbu idaki “yoseteru”
Taishuu no ichibu to kashitemo kachi wa sou mo furezu
“Hito ga tsukuri ageta” subarashii nda to
Nikui sono kawaisa to ureu sono hitomi no
Ai ga minoreba ii na to
Kami-sama ga sadameta kono sekai ni
Nani wo nokoshite yukereba ii darou?
Nakanai yo, mou nakanai!
Akanai tobira wa sa, hirakanai imi ga ari!
Wakai kono sou, otoshi wo meshita sono sou
Hito wa jibun no tame ni kizu wo owasu!
Minikui nari ni kokoro ni yadoru
Yasashisa wo seiippai ni aisou to
Minikusa mo seiippai ni aisou to!

(*) no matter what, I kept hearing it like ‘shindanu (死んだぬ)’ not ‘shiranu (知らぬ)’. Hahahaha… But of course it is not right. So don’t mind me.

Notes: After so long, I think I can get away from making mistakes. Turns out not. I hope I can learn kanji faster… So, here’s a list of my mistakes in romanising it.

[…] kanji ~ [–->] my attempt ~ [=] the correct romanization ~ (…) my own comment

  1. [諍い] = isekai = isakai
  2. [皮肉な] = hinikona = hinikuna
  3. [倫理] = rinbi = rinri
  4. [丸い] = marai = marui
  5. [全部抱き] = zendeeki = zenbu idaki (lol, god, it’s so hard, why I cannot!)
  6. [共] = tamo = tomo
