I like this song because, aside from a good tunes, it somehow makes me hoping. And by grasping the meaning from the lyric (I cannot translate it, sadly), it seems like this song is trying to tell us: yes, there are problems. feeling bad. hoping for tomorrow, but when will it be exactly? just don’t stand there waiting! Get your tomorrow yourself! Make your own rainbow; force the rain to stop!

Japanese lyric

Romaji

Aserazu ni ikeba ii sa to
Itsu kara ka ii kikaseteta?
Hontou wa zutto tachidomatteta* mitai
Kakaeteta mayoi wa itsuka
Jibun wo sodateru kibou e to
Kawatteitta
Kumo ga kieteku youni
Katachi aru mono oikakete mae ni susumu no wa
Kitto katachi no nai mono sagashitsudzukeru koto da
Nani mo machigai janai
Tobidasou Hikari sasuhou e
Saa hateshinaku Hirogatteru
Sora ni jiyuu na iro Utsushidasu tame
Mayoi wa sutete Hohaba hiroge
Dare mo shiranai Ashita e mukae
Hora arch (AACHI) egaite Ima hajimaru no sa!
Tatoeru naraba sono mune ni
Chiisana hi wo tomoshi nagara
Kagayaki mashite
Hoshi e to kawaru youni
Chigau keshiki wo oikakete mae ni susumu nara
Idaku “BOKU jishin” “ORE jishin” ni mi wo makasete
Senaka awaseta mama
Atarashii sugata ni kawarou
Sou dare ni demo Modoru basho ga
Tachidomatte mo Soko ni wa onaji ao
Kurikaeshite mo Yarinaoshite
Dare mo shiranai Ashita wo tsukame
Yume tori modoshite Ima ikinuku no sa
Saa hateshinaku Hirogatteru
Sora ni jiyuu na iro Utsushidasu tame
Mayoi wa sutete Hohaba hiroge
Dare mo shiranai Ashita e mukae
Hora arch (AACHI) egaite Zutto niji egaite

(*) there’s no ‘ta’ after ‘tachidomatte’ in the Japanese lyric. But the singers sing it, so I put it there (after all, the purpose of this lyric post is so everyone can sing it like the singer does.)

Notes: List of mistakes, what I cannot romanise by hearing.

[…] kanji ~ [–>] my attempt ~ [=] the correct romanization (…) my own comment

  1. [雲] –> kubo = kumo. (I know I get mistake for this one long ago. And now I get it wrong again. Haha…)
  2. [輝き] –> kanayaki = kagayaki. (But it really sounds like ‘kanayaki’ right?? *shot)
  3. [虹] –> michi = niji. (I know ‘michi’ has different kanji, but it really sounds like ‘michi’ or ‘nichi’ you know?? *shot)
