Ohisashiburi~ Today I’ll post lyric of Itowokashi’s song again. Because for some time now, I’ve been listening to their album again and now realise that I always like all songs in that album, Kishou Tenketsu So, after I post ‘Natsu no Nioi’, I decide to post ‘Tomoshibi’ lyric. This song is so addicting. It also reminds me why I like Itou Kashitarou in the first place.

Hear the sample of the song in the album’s crossfade, here (NND).

Disclaimer: I am not Itou Kashitarou and LeftyMonsterP, so obviously I am not Itowokashi. This song and the lyric belongs to their respective owners.

Kanji

Romaji

Dore dake tsumetai kaze ni fukarete mo
Mada kienu boku no naka no tomoshibi
Kurayami ni kieteitta kibou wo
Oikakete terasu mirai TERASU MIRAI
Robou no ishi no youni kerarete korogatte
Tsumugidashita uta wa zattou ni umoreru
Dare mo ga kuchi guchi ni ‘Otona ni nari nasai’ tte
Tsumi kasaneta hibi wo waratta
Dore dake ookina koe de sakende mo
Michiyuku hito mo jikan mo tomaranai
Sore demo utaitsudzukeru riyuu wa
Ano hi to nani hitotsu kawaranai
Risou to genjitsu ga hanpirei shiteku mainichi
Dare mo ga tsugi tsugi to ‘otona’ ni natteyuku*
Kou kou to yurameku honoo wo fuki keshite
Jounetsu ni sakaratte jibun wo azamuite
Ikite yuketara* ii no ni naa
Dou shou mo nai kurai kore shikanai n da
Susumu ashi wa tomerarenai
Dore dake tsumetai kaze ni fukarete mo
Mada kienu boku no naka no tomoshibi

* the Japanese lyrics uses ‘i (い)’, but the singer sings it as ‘yu’. I use what the singer use in my romanization.

Notes:

  1. I completely messed up in this sentence, the underline ones: [ぎ出した歌は 雑踏もれる]. I heard this one: [紡] as ‘suu’, ‘sumi’ or is it ‘sumu’? Never occurred to me that it is ‘tsumu’! I heard this one: [雑踏] as ‘saato’. The correct one is ‘zattou’ *crying*. Also… this one: [埋]. Actually, I failed to hear how this character is sounded. So… *escape*
  2. Also this character [炎]! I always heard it as ‘hon’ but not sure if it’s correct. After I asked jisho (haha), I got it transliterated to ‘honoo’. Hee…
  3. And this character [欺]. I heard it as ‘asamu’  but not sure. Then I found out it supposed to be ‘azamu’. I really, REALLY, need to differentiate how ‘s’, ‘ts’, and ‘z’ sounds in Japanese.

    Credits:

    1. I found the Japanese lyric for ‘tomoshibi’ in Itowokashi Blog (イトヲカシのブログ), here.
    2. Jisho, again, to correct what’s incorrect and find what I cannot transliterated.
    3. Hey, I just found out that actually this song’s lyric has been transliterated in 2013 by viivid, a Thailand blogger who has also previously transliterated ‘natsu no nioi’ that I posted here. Go here to see her version and Thai translation.
