This post is about Indonesian Pop (Indo-Pop) song, back in 2007. I really like this song. Why? Well, why don’t you just hear the melody? Isn’t it so nice? It delivers a deep feeling, a sad feeling… and somehow, with the instruments that they use, they make the song seems so magical. Well, just my opinion, but really, you have to try listen to it. It is really good! I am not bias on this. This song really stuck on my head at the time it is released. So beautiful… and sad.
According to the official video’s description (above), this song tries to tell its listeners about how a person (a guy in particular) bury or hide away their deep feeling towards their love (crush). The music video above want the readers to know that the characters in the video hid away their feelings for each other because the situation do not let them to. However, that situation do not stop the female character from reaching the guy, even though it is fatal for her to do that. (And thus she died, making the guy’s feeling undelivered). I don’t think that music video (official) really represent what the song want to tell. Well… it’s close enough. What’s important is the music, people! Listen to it!
Disclaimer: I do not own UNGU (the band), the song, and the lyric. I merely a fan of the song and want more people to find out about it. Thus translate it to english. It’s my first time translating a lyric (Indonesian at that) into english. I hope I do well. And I hope, now that you know the meaning, you can like it as much as I do (or maybe more).
Cinta dalam Hati Composer: Arlonsy Miraldi (Onci) |

English Translation |
mungkin ini memang jalan takdirku mengagumi tanpa dicintai tak mengapa bagiku asal kau pun bahagia dalam hidupmu, dalam hidupmu |
Maybe it is truly my fate to admire without being loved back. It’s okay for me, as long as you’re happy in your life, in your life… |
telah lama kupendam perasaan itu menunggu hatimu menyambut diriku tak mengapa bagiku mencintaimu pun adalah bahagia untukku, bahagia untukku |
It’s been a long time since I hide away that feeling; waiting for your heart to welcome me. It’s okay for me, because loving you is happiness for me, happiness for me… |
Refrain: ku ingin kau tahu diriku di sini menanti dirimu meski kutunggu hingga ujung waktuku dan berharap rasa ini kan abadi untuk selamanya dan izinkan aku memeluk dirimu kali ini saja tuk ucapkan selamat tinggal untuk selamanya dan biarkan rasa ini bahagia untuk sekejap saja [back to Refrain] |
Refrain: I want you to know that I am here waiting for you; even though I have to wait until the end of my life and hope that this feeling will last for eternity. And please allow me to hug you just this once, to say good bye for eternity and let this feeling be happy even if only for a split second [back to Refrain] |
So, now that you have read the meaning in english, what do you think? Do you like it? IT IS SAD!!! ISN’T IT? THE MELODY AS WELL AS THE LYRIC!!
(cough) Oh, and if you want to know the chord of this song, I’ll suggest you go to chordfrenzy, here. And if you want to know more about the band: UNGU, go to their official website, here.
Thank you. Spread the love
PS.: If (only if) you want to know about the cast, the actor is Darius Sinathria and the actress is Sophia Latjuba. You can find out more by your own. And I don’t know how to name the title of the song in English. If I go word per word, it will be ‘Love in (within) the Heart’, but it seems wrong. Well… so long.

Hi too! I really love your plan. Because it means more and more people know Indonesian song!
About suggestion, I suggest you to translyric it. Translating is not easy because you need to keep the meaning. But translyric is even harder because you need to come up with words that fit the notes without changing the meaning.
You can use phrases or another vocabulary to fit the lyrics into the original tunes if the rough translation of mine of this song doesn’t fit the tunes (I admit it doesn’t.)
I don’t think I can help you on this because I am not really good at translating as well as translyric. But good luck! 🙂
